Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Thank you for visiting www.aiasplus.org (the “Site”), operated by the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (“TCCI®,” “Institute,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”), together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of the Site, including all content, features, account registration, conference registration, and payment services available on the Site.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE OR PROVIDE INFORMATION (OR ALLOW OTHERS TO DO SO ON YOUR BEHALF) IF YOU (AND YOUR PRINCIPAL IF YOU ARE ACTING AS AGENT) DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS OF USE. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use, as amended from time to time. Your continued use of the Site after we make changes is deemed acceptance of those changes, so please check periodically for updates.
Intellectual Property and Use of Content
All content featured or displayed on the Site, including without limitation all text, graphics, photographs, images, video, and other materials (“Content”), and the selection, coordination, and arrangement of such Content, is owned by us, our licensors, or other providers of such material (collectively, “Content Providers”), and is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Content on the Site is protected by copyright law. Except as expressly permitted under applicable copyright law or these Terms of Use, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, frame, incorporate into another website, store, or transmit any Content without our express written permission and the consent of our Content Providers. Content may not be sold or used for any commercial purpose without such express written permission.
Account Registration and Security
To access certain features of the Site, including conference registration and payment, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form;
maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate, current, and complete;
keep your login credentials, including your username and password, confidential and not share them with any third party;
notify us immediately at contactus@cheninstitute.org if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security; and
accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorization. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms of Use. All personally identifying information collected through the registration process is subject to our Privacy Policy.Conference Registration and Attendance
The Site facilitates registration for conferences, symposia, and related events organized or co-sponsored by TCCI® (“Events”). By registering for an Event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Registration Confirmation. Your registration is not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from TCCI®. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any registration at our discretion.
Accuracy of Information. You represent that all information provided during registration is accurate, complete, and truthful. You are responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate registration information.
Non-Transferability. Attendance at Events is personal and non-transferable. Registered attendees may not transfer, sell, or lend their registration or credentials to any other person. TCCI® reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual whose registration has been transferred without authorization.
Photography and Recording. By attending an Event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded by TCCI® or its authorized agents for use in educational, promotional, and archival materials. You may not record presentations, sessions, or other Event content without prior written permission from TCCI®.
Code of Conduct. All Event attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. TCCI® reserves the right to remove any attendee who engages in disruptive, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate behavior, without compensation.
Event Changes. TCCI® reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any Event at its discretion. In the event of cancellation by TCCI®, we will provide notice to registered attendees as promptly as practicable.
Fees and Payment
Certain features of the Site, including registration for Events, may require payment of fees. By submitting a payment, you agree to the following:
Third-Party Payment Processing. All payments are processed by third-party payment service providers. TCCI® does not directly collect, store, or process your payment card information. Your use of third-party payment services is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
Accuracy of Payment Information. You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide, and that the payment information you submit is accurate and complete.
Fees. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are due in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified. TCCI® reserves the right to modify fees at any time, provided that any such changes will not affect fees already paid.
Taxes. You are solely responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or other governmental charges associated with your payment.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
use the Site in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation;
engage in any conduct that disables, overburdens, damages, impairs, restricts, or interferes with the Site or anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Site, or which may harm TCCI® or users of the Site or expose them to liability;
introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, any account, computer system, or network connected to the Site;
use any automated device, script, bot, spider, or other automatic process to access, scrape, crawl, or index any portion of the Site for any unauthorized purpose;
place pop-up windows over pages of the Site or otherwise affect the display of the Site;
collect or store personal data about other users or visitors of the Site without their express consent;
impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; or
stalk, harass, threaten, or otherwise harm any individual.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and resources provided for your convenience only. Such links do not constitute an endorsement by TCCI® of those websites or their content. We have no control over the contents of third-party websites and accept no responsibility for any loss or damage arising from your use of them.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Neither TCCI® nor any of its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, or agents makes any warranty or representation with respect to the completeness, security, reliability, quality, accuracy, or availability of the Site or the Content.
THE SITE, ALL CONTENT (REGARDLESS OF WHO GENERATES IT), AND ALL SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TCCI®, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTENT PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PRIVACY OR SECURITY, LOSS OF REPUTATION, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF TCCI® HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TCCI®, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and Content Providers from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms of Use; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party. You agree to cooperate fully in the defense of any such claim.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to any or all portions of the Site at any time, with or without prior notice, for any reason, including without limitation if we believe you have violated these Terms of Use. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms of Use that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including without limitation intellectual property provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification obligations, and limitations of liability. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the Site.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Use and any dispute arising out of or related to the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision. Any legal action or proceeding relating to the Site shall be instituted in a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of New York, and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
Miscellaneous
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TCCI® with respect to the Site and supersede all prior agreements and understandings. Any failure on our part to assert a right or provision under these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
