This is a hybrid event with options for either online or in-person attendance. Details will be provided at a later date.
Location: Online | American Association for the Advancement of Science Offices, 1200 New York Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20005

Mental health is a vast and growing worldwide problem. In addition to the suffering experienced by individuals and their affected family members, it also has an enormous economic impact. Because it can affect people at a young age, they will often need treatment for many years and during that period they may not be able to participate to their full potential in society.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has seen explosive growth and major breakthroughs over the last years and will surely impact every aspect of modern life and society. Scientists and clinicians have already begun to explore its potential for mental health research and treatment. The first results are enormously promising.

Join us for this annual conference presented by the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute and SCIENCE magazine focusing on AI and mental health. This year’s conference will highlight where AI can be used to the benefit of individuals and society. Experts will first discuss AI in general and why have recently seen this astonishing progress. Then they will review promising applications of AI in mental health therapy.
